“Transforming the Capital. Inspiring the Nation”
The Port of Spain Innovation and Development Hub represents one of the most ambitious transformation blueprints in Trinidad and Tobago’s modern history, a unified vision that redefines the capital’s role as a regional beacon for innovation, resilience, and sustainable growth. Stretching across 750 acres and five miles of revitalized waterfront, this project integrates commerce, culture, infrastructure, and urban living into a single interconnected ecosystem that drives national progress.

At the heart of the Hub lies Invaders Bay, the anchor of Port of Spain’s new economic and leisure waterfront. Designed to host four five-star hotels with over 3,000 rooms, premium waterfront apartments, and a 400-berth marina, Invaders Bay seamlessly blends hospitality with residential luxury. Its lush boardwalks and sustainable design celebrate the meeting of land and sea, offering a new standard of coastal urban living for both citizens and visitors.
Flanking Invaders Bay is the Infinity Financial Tower and the Convention Centre, symbols of Trinidad and Tobago’s global ambition. The financial district offers over 600,000 square feet of modern office space, positioning Port of Spain as a premier financial capital within the Caribbean. The Convention Centre, with its 25,000-person capacity, will host international summits, exhibitions, and trade conferences, transforming the city into a hub for regional diplomacy and global enterprise.

The vision extends beyond the city’s corporate and residential skyline to the Port City, a 400-acre offshore industrial and logistics zone designed to handle 4 million TEUs per year. Its 18-metre berths and Post-Panamax dry docking facilities ensure maritime efficiency, while its proximity to major highways and existing port infrastructure minimizes environmental impact. Port City represents the modernization of trade, enabling Trinidad and Tobago to compete as a central maritime gateway between the Americas.

Supporting this industrial core is the Sea Lots Industrial Park and Free Trade Zone, a vital link in the nation’s logistics chain. Encompassing 105 acres, it is designed for smoother trade flows, modern warehousing, and light manufacturing. With landscaped green spaces and upgraded administrative facilities, Sea Lots evolves from a historic port-side community into a thriving zone of innovation and employment, sustaining economic activity across multiple sectors.

To ensure efficient movement of people and goods, the Hub includes a Multimodal Transport System connecting land, sea, and air travel. This integrated network establishes Port of Spain as a model for smart mobility, where sustainable design, digital infrastructure, and accessibility converge to create a modern, connected capital city.
The transformation continues eastward with the East Port of Spain Redevelopment, an initiative focused on inclusive urban renewal. Featuring 1,200 multi-storey residential units, green spaces, and the revitalization of the historic Jama Masjid Mosque, the project restores community vitality while providing safe, pedestrian-friendly streets. It stands as a symbol of social progress, reconnecting citizens to opportunity and urban pride.

In the realm of healthcare innovation, the Port of Spain Health City introduces a state-of-the-art medical complex built around two inpatient towers totaling 600 beds, 20 operating theatres, and advanced radiology and rehabilitation centres. The Health City elevates national healthcare standards, with specialized facilities for non-communicable diseases, ensuring comprehensive, accessible, and future-ready care for all citizens.

Complementing the city’s modern skyline is the renewal of the Queen’s Park Savannah, designed as a sustainable green lung at the heart of Port of Spain. The revitalization introduces eco-friendly jogging trails, cultural performance spaces, and community amenities. The open-air cultural centre and retail hub promote recreation and tourism while preserving the Savannah’s historic character and environmental balance.
Together, these developments form a cohesive vision, a Port of Spain revitalised. The Innovation and Development Hub merges architecture, technology, and community to transform Trinidad and Tobago’s capital into a global city of the future. Through integrated planning, resilient infrastructure, and inclusive design, the project reaffirms the nation’s commitment to sustainable development, prosperity, and progress for generations to come.
